Herb-Rubbed Pork Roast Leg

Ingredients:

  • 1 pork leg, bone-in, about 2-2.5 kilograms
  • 1 tablespoon of sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the sea salt, black pepper, minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary to make a seasoning rub.
  3. Pat the pork leg dry with paper towels and place it on a baking dish or roasting pan.
  4. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork leg, making sure to cover it evenly on all sides.
  5. Roast the pork leg in the preheated oven for 2-3 hours, or until the internal temperature of the meat reaches 63°C.
  6. Remove the pork leg from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.
